Hugh Crone

Hugh Crone was born in London in 1936 and gained a PhD degree from Cambridge in Natural Sciences (Biochemistry).

He has done scientific research in the UK, USA and Australia. The first two books that he wrote were published by Cambridge University Press. They were: “Chemicals and Society. A guide to the New Chemical Age” CUP 1986 and “Banning Chemical Weapons” CUP 1992. The former book won the Phi Beta Kappa Science Book Award, which was then the premier international award for the writing of science books.
